Frequently asked questions
What does cold pressed actually mean?
+
The seeds are crushed slowly in a wooden Kachi Ghani press at low temperature. No solvents, no external heat, no refining. Yield is lower, but aroma, colour and nutrients survive the process.
How should I store the oil?
+
Keep the bottle capped, away from direct sunlight, at room temperature. Amber glass already blocks most UV. There is no need to refrigerate.
How long does a bottle last?
+
Unopened, twelve months from the pressing date printed on the neck. Once opened, use within six months for the best aroma.
Is mustard oil suitable for high heat cooking?
+
Yes. It has a high smoke point. Traditional practice is to heat it until it just smokes, then cool slightly before adding ingredients — this mellows the sharpness.
Do you ship across Canada?
+
Yes, to every province and territory. Orders over $75 ship free, and most orders arrive within 2–5 business days.
Can I see the lab report?
+
Every bottle carries a batch code. Send it to us on the contact page and we will email the matching third-party report.
